Having a little fun can actually help cut down on one of the biggest causes of cravings: STRESS.

Let’s face it, this has been quite a year, filled with emotions, uncertainty, and a lot of stress.

Stress and eating go hand-in-hand … especially chronic stress.

That’s because stress affects you on a hormonal level, setting you up for cravings, blood sugar swings, a slowed-down metabolism, and yes, the dreaded weight gain.

So what can you do about it? On top of making stress management (meditating, deep breathing, journaling, prayer, etc.) a regular part of your self-care routine … I highly recommend having some FUN!

Carve out some time to have fun every single week. You have to make it a priority because it doesn’t usually happen on its own.

Go for a hike, talk to a friend, do some window shopping, or get outside for some fresh air.

Our days have a way of getting oh-so-serious but being intentional about squeezing in some fun will boost your overall quality of life!

Baked Chicken Breasts

Serves 4

4 boneless skinless chicken breasts

1 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
½ tsp black pepper
½ tsp garlic powder
½ tsp paprika

InstructionsPreheat oven to 450°F. Place a layer of parchment paper on a baking dish.

Place the chicken breasts in the prepared dish. Brush on both sides with olive oil.

In a small bowl, mix spices until combined. Sprinkle the spice mixture evenly over the chicken on both sides.

Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until the chicken is cooked through to at least 165°F at the thickest part.

Serve & enjoy!

Tip: Serve with lots of veggies.
